Young Composer Festival

The APU Music Studies Department hosts an annual young composers’ festival featuring solo and small ensemble compositions. It is open to any student under the age of 19, not yet in college, and each participant receives verbal feedback from a professional composer. This year’s festival is adjudicated by guest composer Lisa Crawford, and APU faculty composers Michael Lee and Thomas Hynes. Any K-12 music teacher may submit nominations of their student composers to be considered for inclusion in the festival.
