Faculty Lecture: William Catling, On Navigating the Deep Pelagic

Tuesday, April 7, 2020, 57 p.m.

Department of Art chair William Catling, MFA, compares one’s faith journey to navigating the deep pelagic—the open sea. How do we navigate faith when there are no landmarks? How do artists make a way without any set paths or roadmaps? Catling’s own sculptural work explores these frontiers. Join us to hear the knowledge he has gathered from decades of mentoring artists in their faith journeys.
