SURE Undergraduate Research Showcase—EAST

Wednesday, April 1, 2020, 11:30 a.m.12:30 p.m.

Undergraduate Research Showcases highlight the achievements of undergraduates who produce important original research, present at academic conferences, and/or publish in academic journals. Participants in the ScholarFest 2020 showcases are recipients of the 2019 Scholarly Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Award, which annually funds 8 undergraduate research proposals for work guided by full-time faculty-mentors. The 2020 SURE competition runs concurrently with ScholarFest2020, with this year’s awardees announced during the Honoring Excellence special awards event on April 23.

Come join a dynamic conversation as members of three diverse research teams discuss their experiences as SURE scholars, sharing their successes, their struggles, and why they began this research in the first place. Perfect for undergraduates interested in conducting research and faculty and students planning to apply for a SURE Award.
