“Faith and Hope” The Story of Our Nisei Heroes Documentary Screening

Friday, March 24, 2023, 14 p.m.

World War II introduced Executive Order 9066, an order that forced many Japanese Americans into internment camps, forcefully disrupting many from receiving their college degrees, including APU. Azusa Pacific University Implemented Assembly Bill 37. President Jon Wallace and the Board issued 24 former Nisei ministry students their overdue degrees in a historical reconciliatory graduation ceremony, nearly 70 years after they had their graduations and college careers interrupted by Executive Order 9066.
