The Office of Campus Life Special Events team plans and implements campus-wide events that create a sense of community among the student population.
The Special Events team hosts several events throughout the year such as:
- Les Femmes – Fall semester semi-formal off-campus dance
- The Gala – Spring semester semi-formal off-campus dance
- Midnight Breakfast – A free breakfast meal for all students, study groups hosted by professors, and a variety show the Sunday before finals week each semester
Additionally, the team can create new, exciting events that promote a sense of belonging based on student feedback such as fairs, movie nights, and more.

Campus Life Crew
The Special Events area in the Office of Campus Life oversees the Campus Life Crew (CLC), a first-year (transfers welcome) volunteer leadership opportunity. The CLC exists to promote community, involvement, and belonging by providing students with engaging, campus-wide events. CLC members work with the campus activities coordinator and the Special Events interns.
CLC is a great way to get involved on campus as well as network with APU administrators, faculty, and staff. The CLC is especially beneficial when applying to future campus leadership positions.
