Biography

Millie Mao, Ph.D., teaches a variety of applied statistics courses at APU, which are about how to use appropriate statistical methods and software tools to analyze real-world scenarios, with an emphasis on economic and financial problems. Millie likes to use engaging examples and real-life experiences to break down difficult concepts. She enjoys interacting with students from all types of backgrounds. She has earned many teaching awards and certificates from University of California, Riverside. She has also received several SAS programming certificates. Her research interests include statistical modeling and applications, business statistics, and data analytics.
