Starla Anderson, M.A., JD, has professional experience as a trial consultant for a national company that handled large cases such as John DuPont’s criminal trial, and ARCO and Norplant litigation. Anderson also spent time as a general practitioner and as a prosecutor for the County of San Bernardino. She is pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

With a passion for students and for mending broken situations, it is her desire to help students understand the complexities of the law and the field of conflict resolution in a way that prepares them for their future professional and personal endeavors. Her research is centered on the use of restorative justice principles in educational disciplinary settings, and the need for attorneys to offer opportunities for forgiveness, apologies, and reconciliation as part of the services rendered in legal disputes.
