Service and Emotional Support Animal Policy at Azusa Pacific University

Service Animals

A service animal is a dog (or miniature horse) trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. A service animal is not a pet. The care or supervision of a service animal is solely the responsibility of his or her owner. A service animal will not be permitted at the ceremony if the animal's behavior poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. If a service animal displays vicious behavior towards others, the owner will be asked to leave with the animal. If you have other questions about service animals please call the ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TDD).

Emotional Support Animals

Emotional support animals are not permitted into any commencement ceremony, event, or reception.
