Are tickets required for this event?
Yes, tickets are required for all commencement ceremonies. All guests, ages 2 years and older, require a ticket. An allotted number of tickets will be distributed to graduating students prior to the commencement ceremony. The allotted number of tickets will be determined by the number of graduates; therefore, it is subject to change for each ceremony. Additional tickets are not available and cannot be purchased.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Yes, but please do so safely and only from your seat.
For safety reasons, family and guests are not permitted to approach and take photos or video on or around the stage, graduate procession, seating areas, or aisles during commencement. Any interference may result in being asked to leave the ceremony.

Will there be a close-up photo taken of my student when receiving their diploma?
A professional photographer will take pictures of each student while shaking hands with the president of the university. Proofs will be mailed to each graduate a few weeks after the ceremony. At that time, the student may review the proofs and purchase the photos directly from the photography studio.
Are there any other special events for us to attend as parents/relatives of graduating seniors?
There are often special receptions that occur on or around graduation day. View the schedule of program events and receptions.
I have a guest with special needs. Is there accommodation for them?
There will be a handicapped seating section reserved, as well as a live streaming caption option for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing. Go to the ADA/Special Needs and Accommodations booth outside on the southwest side of the Felix Event Center. Guests who need special assistance may be seated 15 minutes prior to the set doors opening time. Spanish transmitters will also be available at the ADA/Special Needs and Accommodations booth outside on the southwest side of the Felix Event Center. If you have a question or request regarding a guest who may need other accommodations, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I take my dog or other pet to the commencement ceremony?
No animals are allowed at the ceremony with the exception of service animals as defined in the Service Animal as a Disability Accommodation Policy. Learn more about service and emotional support animals at Azusa Pacific University commencement ceremonies.
Can I bring a noisemaker to celebrate my student's graduation?
For the safety of our graduates and guests, we ask that you do not use noisemakers or throw objects (food products, beach balls, etc.) during the ceremony. All such items will be immediately confiscated, and you may be asked to leave the ceremony.
Are strollers allowed into the commencement ceremony?
Strollers are NOT permitted inside the Felix Event Center.
Can I purchase a video of the event?
Yes, commencement ceremonies are professionally recorded by APU. You may purchase a personalized DVD for $19.99, plus tax and shipping, online or by calling (800) 933-1950.
Can I purchase or preorder flowers and leis for my graduate or family member?
Preorder your orchid leis, flower bouquets, and kukui and shell necklaces online. Pickup locations around the Felix Event Center, Hall of Champions, and Kresge Plaza make it easier to pick up your order. A portion of all proceeds benefit Azusa Pacific University’s Student Center for Reconciliation and Diversity.
Can I purchase APU keepsakes at the event?
There will be items available for purchase at the APU Bookstore on Kresge Plaza.
Will there be concessions at the event?
There will be water, coffee, snacks, and other concessions available for purchase.
