Tickets and Parking Passes

Tickets and parking passes are required to attend commencement and park on campus. Each graduate is allotted a specific number of tickets and parking passes to distribute to guests.

Graduating students

Information on how to order tickets will be emailed to graduating students within one month of commencement. Tickets will be available for reservation on Monday, April 23. Additional tickets may be available in a lottery held Monday, April 30, on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of tickets available for each ceremony depends on the number of candidates attending each ceremony and structure capacity.

  • Undergraduate students will receive 10 tickets.
  • Graduate students will receive 12 tickets.


All faculty must reserve a ticket and parking pass online. Graduates and staff who are working commencement do not need tickets. Tickets are not available for purchase.

Ticket and Parking Pass Policies

Guest tickets and parking passes are only given to students who are cleared to participate in commencement. Students who are cleared to graduate do not need a ticket for the event. All guests must have a ticket. Infants under two years of age do not require a ticket if held in a ticketed adult’s lap. All guests and graduating students must have a commencement parking pass to park on campus and/or in reserved locations for commencement parking.

Parking passes are required to gain entry into your designated parking lot. Allow plenty of time to park because parking in all available lots is on a first-come, first-served basis. Lot A is designated for Access1 and disabled persons parking.

Doors open one hour prior to commencement ceremony.

  • Lot A: Access1/Disabled Persons Parking Only; APU East Campus, 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa
  • Citrus College Lots S2, S5, S6, S7, and southern portion of S8: General Parking; Stadium Way, Glendora
  • Lots F, G, H, and I: General Parking; APU West Campus, 701 E. Foothill Blvd., Azusa

Any tickets obtained through invalid measures or by students who are not cleared to participate in commencement will be voided. Students are subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to revoking the access to participate in current or future commencement ceremonies.

Ceremony Locations

Spring commencement is held at Cougar Athletic Stadium; winter commencement is held in the Richard and Vivian Felix Event Center. In the case of inclement weather, the spring commencement may move to the Felix Event Center, in which case rain tickets will be required (rain tickets will be distributed to graduates on the day of commencement, if ceremony is moved).

Saving seats is not allowed. Balloons are not allowed in the Felix Event Center or Cougar Athletic Stadium; please leave balloons in your car. Also, for the protection of our graduates and guests, we ask that you do not throw objects or use noise markers at the ceremony. All such items will be immediately confiscated.

Handicapped-accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For the spring commencement ceremonies in Cougar Athletic Stadium, there is reserved handicapped-accessible seating in the bleachers. For the winter commencement ceremonies, handicapped-accessible seating is available in the Felix Event Center, along with elevator access to the second floor.
