This course investigates the effective functioning of individuals and groups within organizational settings, particularly in non-Western environments. Emphasis is placed on how leaders perceive organizations from strategic design, organizational culture, and political environment perspectives. It applies theoretical concepts to major organizational challenges such as organizational effectiveness, motivation, conflict, job stress and satisfaction, and decision making. Course focus includes organizational communication plus attitudinal and behavioral implications for leaders. This course may not be taken for credit if the student has previously taken LDRS 591. It may be delivered in either hybrid or fully online modality.
