Minor Extension of Grace Period for Traditional Undergraduate Students (3-21-20)

All Traditional Undergraduate Students,

In response to Student Government Association President Tayo Agbalaya’s request, the President’s Cabinet and the Academic Deans, in consultation with Faculty Senate ModeratorJoshua Morris, Ph.D., have agreed to extend the current period of grace in course due dates and participation requirements in undergraduate courses until Wednesday, March 25. Although the grace period has been extended, it is still your responsibility to complete all the coursework required for your class.

We understand moving off campus mid-semester requires a significant amount of time and energy, and we want to make sure you are as prepared as possible to fully engage in your studies during this difficult time. Please follow-up with your instructors to make sure you understand the deadlines for coursework or participation that may be different, now that we have moved completely to a Canvas-based environment.

Please make every effort to establish yourself in your new living/learning arrangement as soon as possible, so that we all might finish Spring 2020 strong. As a reminder, the final deadline for residence hall move-out is Sunday, March 22. The final deadline for apartment residents to move out is Tuesday, March 24.

Thank you.

Rukshan Fernando, Ph.D. Interim Provost
