Remote Learning Communications Update for Students (7-24-20)

Dear Students,

We understand that, like us, you may be disappointed that we are unable to fully reopen campus for the Fall 2020 semester. As we eagerly anticipate an in-person return in spring, our priority is to protect the health and well-being of our community, while ensuring rigorous academics, rich student support, intentional faith integration, and deep connections between faculty and students. We want to assure you that we remain committed to, and have continued to diligently plan for, a distinctive APU educational experience that prioritizes:

  • Christ-centered academic excellence
  • Meaningful, rich engagement between professors and students
  • Personalized and professional student advising and peer counseling
  • Free and holistic tutoring services and coursework support
  • Technologically and digitally enhanced classrooms
  • Robust wellness and health resources
  • Online chapels, discipleship groups, and spiritual mentoring programs

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to provide the community with the most accurate and up-to-date information possible amidst a frequently changing landscape. In order to keep our entire community informed, here is the schedule of communication you can expect next week (7/27-7/31):

7/27 - Housing Update and Information Regarding Potential Fee Reductions

7/28 - New Student Welcome Days Programming Update

7/29 - Remote Learning: Student Wellness and Success
