We hope you are staying well during this unprecedented season. We recognize that the world’s global health crisis and country’s racial discord have brought a complex set of physical and emotional challenges to our institution and our lives. To address these difficult times, invest in your health and wellness, and foster a sense of belonging in our community, we want to provide tools that encourage your well-being and support you reaching your academic and personal potential. Consequently, APU faculty and staff are working hard to provide Christ-centered support services, programs, and educational opportunities in remote settings to help you thrive academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Here are a few updates regarding services, as we anticipate our semester together:
Health and Wellness
Beginning in late August, all current graduate and regional campus students will automatically be eligible for enrollment in APU Telehealth at no additional out-of-pocket cost. Our program, in partnership with a telehealth industry leader for higher education, provides students 24/7 access to online health, counseling, and crisis intervention services through a downloadable app. Additional information coming soon.
Student Health Center (SHC)
SHC is open and available to support student health and safety. In-person appointments for COVID-19 testing are available at a reduced cost. Telehealth appointments, as well as regular in-person primary care health appointments, will be available.
For graduate and regional campus students who choose to opt into APU’s student health insurance plan, coverage will not change as we move to remote learning. If you live out of state, you can still seek services using the student health insurance plan. For more information about this plan please see: Health Insurance - Student Health Center.
University Counseling Center (UCC)
UCC offers resources to support your emotional health. Ongoing individual, couples, and group sessions are offered through teletherapy appointments, and we offer immediate crisis care over the phone as needed. Please look for an email invitation soon to participate in APU's Mental Well-Being course to gain helpful tools to better care for yourself and others so that you may thrive during this challenging time.
Accessibility and Disability Resources (ADR)
ADR engages in an interactive process with each student to discuss and determine disability-related accommodations within all learning environments. Incoming and current students may contact ADR at any time during the year to discuss the need for accommodations or adjustments to current accommodations. View ADR's Student Online Accommodations, Testing, and Services Guide.
Academic Success Center (ASC)
ASC continues to provide Expanded Student Support to ensure Professional students are connected to the available resources needed to achieve their academic goals. Graduate students are welcome to continue to interact with their departments for advising needs, but we are also here to help answer any academic concerns.
The Tutoring Center Online Appointement continues to offer high-quality peer tutoring through virtual appointments with student tutors. Our tutors have excelled at the courses they support and receive regular training to ensure they have the right tools and resources to best support you. All students can make free appointments at
