Traditional Undergraduate Spring Fee Waivers

Dear Student,

Per L.A. County Department of Public Health directives, APU must continue with remote learning in Spring 2021. While we engage the county regarding campus access, we remain deeply committed to providing a distinctive APU experience that prioritizes rigorous academics, rich student support, intentional faith integration, and meaningful connections between faculty and students.

Our efforts include an ongoing investment to support student educational continuity and enhance the remote learning experience for Spring 2021. In regard to tuition, approximately 75 percent of APU’s budget covers student scholarships and personnel. In addition, tuition funds course progression toward degree completion, and, while the cost of tuition does not decrease in a remote learning environment, we recognize that certain on-campus services are not needed. The university will waive the following fees for undergraduate students for the Spring 2021 semester:

  • Waiver of $100 New Student Orientation fee*
  • Waiver of $40 parent/guest Welcome Days fee*
  • Waiver of the $290 University Services fee
  • Waiver of the $125 Parking fee
  • Waiver of the $300 Freshman Parking fee
  • Evaluation of academic and course fees on a course- and program-specific basis

*Applies to new students

Parking fees were not placed on any student account. Housing fees will only appear on student accounts for Spring 2021 if granted a limited housing exception as described in the recent Student Affairs communication. Dining plans will be available for Azusa campus students.
