Student Health Center

The Student Health Center supports the university by evaluating, treating, maintaining, and promoting optimal physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of APU students. The Student Health Center serves as an advocate for patient care and promotes individual empowerment to enhance healthy lifestyle choices among patients.

MyCougar Health Patient Portal

Students can easily and confidentially schedule an appointment using the MyCougar Health Patient Portal, a secure online resource that gives APU students convenient 24-hour access to personal health information.

On-Campus Food Pantry

An on-campus food pantry is available for APU students in the Adams Hall Lounge on Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. and Wednesdays/Fridays from 10 a.m.-noon, when students can pick up food items. The pantry is also open during those times to receive donations of non-perishable goods.

The Spiritual Life team and campus pastors remain available to provide encouragement, support, and prayer. Additionally, visit for opportunities to engage in weekly virtual workshop events.

Using Canvas for Courses

You have a Canvas site for each of your courses, where materials and assignments will be posted and graded, and you can communicate with your faculty member. Your faculty will also be in touch with you about how they intend to manage courses for the remainder of the semester. For additional assistance with Canvas, see the following resources:

Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center is committed to offering comprehensive academic services, programming, and resources that support all students—including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Services include Academic Advising, Accessibility and Disability Resources, Tutoring Services, and more. The center's staff are available to assist you remotely during this season. University Libraries

The University Libraries offer access to a wealth of online resources to support your studies, including journals and databases. Subject specialists are also available through online chat and email to help you find resources.

Writing Center

Online appointments are available through APU’s Writing Center. Receive help with reviewing and revising any writing project, at any stage of the writing process. Make an appointment with the Writing Center.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center team is available Mon.-Fri. for telemedicine appointments from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and in-person appointments from 1-4 p.m.


All summer lecture-based courses will move to a Canvas-based learning environment.


Most staff have moved to telework. Essential employees remain in place to ensure location-based university services remain active.
