Janet Hanson, EdD, has over 20 years of experience working in both public and private schools in California and the Northwest as a teacher, program administrator, principal, and superintendent. Hanson has presented her research at regional, national, and international conferences in areas ranging from organizational learning, multicultural viewpoint in schools, school growth mindset, school culture, effect of child marriage on female's education, intellectual capital in schools, survey validation for teacher epistemelogical beliefs, academic mindset, among others. During her time in elementary education, she wrote and administered a national technology grant for implementing technology into the curriculum at the elementary and high school levels. After adding a developmental specialist certification, she developed and led assessment, technology, and advanced mathematics programs for a new intervention high school.

Prior to entering public education, Hanson earned her bachelor’s degree in business and worked as an auditor for an internationally recognized accounting firm. During her time as a graduate research assistant, she supported and performed research for the Center for Bilingual and Multicultural Education and for the Educational Leadership program under grant funding. Hanson has presented her research at regional and national conferences in areas ranging from organizational learning to multicultural viewpoint in schools.

As a result of Hanson’s extensive experience in education and accomplishments, she is well equipped to facilitate and support the educational and career development of the next generation of school teachers and administrators to lead California schools in service to Christ as difference makers.
