Biography

Beth Colangelo, MSN, joined the School of Nursing in 2011 She began as Adjunct Faculty at the High Desert Regional Center and currently serves full time since 2016 as Lead and Clinical Instructor for UNRS 402- Nursing Care: Maternal, Newborn and Women's Health Nursing. In addition to Maternal, Newborn and Women’s Health, she has served as instructor for Foundations, Ethics and Issues in Health Care and in Skills Lab and clinical instructor for community health.

She has more than 33 years of Labor and Delivery experience, having served in hospitals in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Florida and California. For the last 12 years Colangelo has been working at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, California where she has served as a team leader, staff preceptor, in-service instructor, NRP instructor and was instrumental in establishing a local chapter of “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep”, a ministry that provides remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture and hand and/or footprint molds of the baby.
