Biography

Charles Lam is an accomplished project management and process improvement practitioner, consultant, and educator with over 20 years of experience. Charles has initiated 5 PMOs and personally managed ~100 projects for small, mid-sized, and Fortune 500 companies in the areas of finance, IT, and operation management in a wide array of industries, including higher education, internet startups, banking, insurance, consulting, and electric utility.

Professionally, Charles is a Founder/Managing Director for OpenWest, Inc, specializing in project management training, consulting, and staffing.

Academically, Charles began teaching project management 10 years ago. Moreover, Charles has designed/developed Business Analysis Certificate, Project Management Certificate, and MS in Project Management degree programs for well-known private and public universities throughout Southern California. Currently, Charles serves on the Project Management Certificate Program Advisory Board for the UCLA Extension.
