Department Chair, Upper-Division BSN Transfer and Associate Professor
Dr. Cha serves as the Department Chair of Upper Division Transfer Program (UDTP) and Associate Professor in APU School of Nursing since August 2021. She has 25 years of extensive clinical experiences in various specialty areas such as medical-surgical, step-down, acute inpatient rehab, long term, and consultation. She received a PhD in Public Health, specialized in Community Health, and a MS in nursing from Walden University. Her research interests include minority health, under-served immigrant health, global health, and the diversity in nursing education. Dr. Cha received the 2018 Foundation of Education Scholarship Award from National League for Nursing (NLN) and the 2019 Bright Society Ward from the Global Cooperative Society International. She has served an active council member of the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) of Korea which reports directly to the president of Korea. She has served various leadership roles and a life-time member of local, national and international nursing associations as well as public health associations.
