Biography

Award-winning filmmaker Eddie Kim is a producer, writer, director, and editor. He produced his first films at the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film, and Television, where he received the highest honors, the College of Fine Arts Creative Achievement Award. Kim was then accepted into the UCLA School of Film and Theater MFA Directing Program. In recognition of his work at UCLA, he received multiple awards, which includes the Jack Nicholson Distinguished Student Director Award, the Jim Morrison Award, and the Fuji Film Award. He was also awarded Most Original Film at the UCLA Director’s Spotlight for his thesis film, To Wander in Pandemonium. His body of work has screened in more than 70 film festivals around the world, garnering awards such as the KAFFNY Audience Choice Award, the LeBlanc Audience Choice Award, Regional Finalist for the Student Academy Awards, the DGA Student Film Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, and a Cine Golden Eagle Award Winner. He currently works as an editor on a broad range of media forms, including documentaries, trailers, commercials, and corporate videos. His clients include the Sundance Institute, Adobe, YouTube, and Google.
