Biography

Marybeth Grant-Beuttler, PhD, has clinical expertise in pediatrics, and received the dissertation award from the American Physical Therapy Association, Pediatric Section, in February 2006 for her research on supine kicking in preterm infants. Her research focuses on motor development and movement analysis in infants, children, and adolescents, with specific expertise in early development, developmental coordination disorder, and idiopathic toe walking. Since she started teaching in 1998, she has presented 28 posters and abstract publications with students at national and state conferences. In October 2016 she was awarded the California Physical Therapy Association’s Faculty Research Publication Award for her work coauthoring the article “Ankle Movements During Supine Kicking in Infants Born Preterm” in the Fall 2016 issue of Pediatric Physical Therapy. In May 2018, she received the Valerie Scudder Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching Scholarship and Service from Chapman University.
