Cheryl Boyd, MSN, RN, APRN-CNS, is a clinical expert in critical care, medical-surgical, palliative care, and adult health nursing. With more than 20 years of experience in nursing care for the adult patient across the life span in the acute care setting, she utilizes evidence-based practice guidelines, strong interpersonal skills, and a well-developed knowledge base in order to model excellent nursing care. Her strong clinical background facilitates the integration of knowledge for students between the theoretical and practical settings, and she enjoys mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals. Research interest are in the areas of victim and survivor support and recovery exiting prostitution and sex trafficking, human addictive behaviors and social media and the interplay of adolescent anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
