Biography

Shelby Moser, PhD, is an adjunct professor of art history in the Department of Art and of philosophy in the School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University (APU) in Southern California. Her research interests are primarily in analytic aesthetics, philosophy of digital works & videogames, and art history. A few of her publications include Videogame Ontology, Constitutive Rules, and Algorithms (Routledge 2018), The Aesthetics of Interactivity (Routledge 2020), and Toward a New Regard of Digital Works (Routledge 2021). She is also a resident author with the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy on the Philosophy of Digital Art. Moser earned her PhD in the History and Philosophy of Art from the University of Kent in Canterbury (UK).
