School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences Alumni Tuition Discounts

APU’s School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences (BAS) offers a 15 percent alumni tuition discount for APU alumni starting in the following graduate programs:

A 10 percent alumni tuition discount is available for APU alumni starting in the following graduate programs:

Students must maintain continuous enrollment half-time for the fall and spring terms. Students must be in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0. If qualifications are met, the discount may be renewed each year until graduation. This discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid. CCCU Alumni Discount

APU’s School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences (BAS) offers a 10 percent CCCU alumni tuition discount for graduates of CCCU schools starting in the following graduate program:

Students must maintain continuous enrollment at least half-time for the fall and spring terms. Students must be in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0. If qualifications are met, the discount may be renewed each year until graduation. This discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid. Students fill out the 2017-18 CCCU Alumni Tuition Discount (PDF) and turn it in to the Graduate and Professional Center. Contact Student Financial Services for complete eligibility details.

CCCU Employees Tuition Discount

In support of institutions affiliated with the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), APU offers a 10 percent tuition discount for the Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership or the Ph.D. in Higher Education program to any full-time faculty member or administrator of any CCCU-affiliated institution as long as the employing institution matches at least the 10 percent discount. The combined tuition discount cannot equal more than 100 percent. The amount of institutional aid is subject to coordination with federal, state, and institutional regulations, which may result in a reduction of this benefit. Plus One Discount

If two or more students from the same institution enroll in the same higher education cohort in the same year, each one is eligible to receive a 10% tuition discount. For more information, contact the department at doctoralhighered@apu.edu.

Law Enforcement Discount

The School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences offers a 15 percent tuition discount for eligible law enforcement employees, their spouses, and their dependents (up to age 26) starting in one of the following professional bachelor’s completion programs:

Students fill out the APU Law Enforcement Discount (PDF) form and provide proof of employment for the relevant academic year. This tuition discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid and only applies to core courses (general education courses are not covered by discount). MOU Partner Tuition Discounts

The School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences offers a 15 percent tuition discount for eligible employees, their spouses, and their dependents up to age 26 of the following organizations who will start in one of APU’s professional bachelor’s degree completion programs—either the Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice or the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

  • Victor Elementary School District
  • Victor Valley Union High School District

Students fill out the 2017-18 BAS Professional Undergraduate MOU Agreement Discount (PDF) form and provide proof of employment along with a form every year of enrollment. This tuition discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid and only applies to core courses (general education courses are not covered by discount). The School of Education and the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences offer a 10 percent tuition discount for eligible employees of the following districts and charter schools who will start in an education program through the School of Education or a physical education program through the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences.

Please note: The School of Education’s doctoral program (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership) is not eligible for any MOU discount. The discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid.

Veteran Discount

The School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences offers a 15 percent tuition discount for eligible veterans, their spouses, and dependents starting in one of the following bachelor’s completion programs:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

Applicants must fill out the APU Veteran Discount (PDF) form and provide proof of military service with the application.
