Early Arrival Week

All students must register for International Student Orientation.

About Early Arrival

As an international undergraduate student or TCK (Third Culture Kid), you will be able to move into on-campus housing before International Student Orientation (ISO) begins. We recommend that you purchase your tickets in order to arrive in the United States during this time. Don’t forget to fill out Airport Pickup Request Form (PDF) and send it to your enrollment counselor.

Graduate students who choose early arrival will need to fill out a Motel Request Form (PDF) and send it to your enrollment counselor in addition to the Airport Pickup Request Form (PDF).

For forms and other pre-arrival information, visit our Admitted Students section.

Early Arrival Dates:

Fall 2013: August 19–26
Spring 2014: January 5–7

Why Come Early?

Arriving at APU early will give you a couple of days to rest, complete your Pre-orientation quizzes, meet with your enrollment counselor for academic advising, complete university skills testing, and complete other basic on- and off-campus services. Graduate students can also get a head start on searching for on-campus jobs and finding housing. In addition, International Student Services sponsors social activities during this time.
