PRESENTER: Heather Miller, Adjunct Professor, Northern Kentucky University This event will be a live "hosted webinar viewing" offered from the Office of Innovative Teaching and Technology (Lunch will be provided).
DESCRIPTION: Managing online discussions can be an arduous task. This interactive session will give you tips and tricks on how to effectively manage, facilitate, and assess discussions. We will focus on student engagement and facilitation that result in productive discussions -where students are challenged by their peers. We will also focus on efficiently grading discussions to provide meaningful feedback to students. Overall student learning and satisfaction will increase, while saving you time and trouble. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: • Manage discussions effectively • Facilitate discussions effectively • Assess discussions quickly and effectively
