New Year, New Library Research Tools
The APU Libraries are pleased to announce the availability of several new research tools:
- Eight new databases have been added to the Libraries' online collections
- APU electronic journal holdings information is now available in Google Scholar
- A "More Resources" table now provides relevant external links in the library catalog and Quick Search
The addition of APU's electronic holdings data to Google Scholar means that links to full text will be provided within Google Scholar results when APU has subscription access to the article.
Full text links will appear automatically in Google Scholar results from on campus. Off-campus users will need to use Google Scholar Preferences to select APU as their home library. To do this, use the "Library Links" box to search for APU, then select the box for "APU Library Access" (do not choose "UAA/APU Consortium Library").
More Resources Table
The new "More Resources" table within the APU Library Catalog and Quick Search provides dynamic and useful links related to your search. You can use it to find book reviews, formatted citations, full text journal articles, author information, and more.
To access these links, look for the More Resources table on the right side of the screen in the Library Catalog. These links will change dynamically based on the searches you do. To access the links within Quick Search, click the "Explore" link that appears next to each search result.
If you have questions about these new resources, please feel free to contact the APU Libraries.
