Christian films are growing in popularity, attracting big-name talent, and getting larger budgets but some critics contend that their storylines need improvement to interest secular audiences. APU's Barbara Nicolosi Harrington, Ph.D, associate professor in the Honors College, shared her thoughts with CBS Sunday Morning for their segment, “A Resurrection in Faith-based Films,” which aired April 21, 2019.

Harrington is an accomplished screenwriter, member of the Writers Guild of America, and author of Notes to Screenwriters (2015, Michael Wiese Press). She was the founding director of the prestigious Act One: Hollywood training program for aspiring writers and entertainment executives.
