Back in 1996, Jon Foreman started his music career heading an unassuming San Diego-based band, now known all over the world as the multi-platinum Grammy-winning alternative rock group Switchfoot. A lifelong quest for divine answers translated effortlessly through Jon’s gritty vocals, which mediated between a lost self and an unseen higher power. Echoing their generation's existential crisis of faith, his spiritually-oriented rock band tapped into the cultural zeitgeist, and endured as defining sound-makers.

Foreman’s band Switchfoot has won 31 awards in total, including 12 San Diego Music Awards, 13 Dove Awards, and one Grammy Award. Jon Foreman won the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Impact Award "to celebrate the success and influence of his songs in mainstream rock music."
