AZUSA, Calif. – More than 460 students will graduate from Azusa Pacific University on Fri., July 31, at the university’s summer commencement ceremony. APU will award degrees to 70 bachelor’s, 294 master’s, and 94 degree completion recipients. Ten will receive doctorates. 

The ceremony takes place at 7 p.m. at APU’s Cougar Stadium on East Campus, 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa.

This year’s commencement speaker is Jim Reeve, Ph.D., senior pastor of Faith Community Church in West Covina, Calif. As the senior and founding pastor, he pastors one of the most influential churches in the nation. Under his direction, Faith Community has grown from a handful of attendees in 1980 to more than 10,000 in attendance every week.

Reeve received a B.A. from Hope International University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Reeve also has a television ministry, Balanced Living, which airs nationally and internationally.
