AZUSA, Calif.– Azusa Pacific University Provost Mark Stanton, Ph.D., announced the selection of Rancho Cucamonga resident Heather Petridis, MBA, as vice president of graduate/non-traditional enrollment and student services, effective July 1, 2012.

“Petridis is an outstanding leader and administrator who has demonstrated the ability to identify goals and objectives and to lead her team to fulfill them in a way that advances the mission and purpose of the university,” said Stanton. “She understands the needs of graduate and non-traditional students and motivates others to provide high quality services to these student populations. This promotion recognizes her significant accomplishments and her vision for the future.”

In her new role, Petridis oversees a wide array of graduate, adult, and non-traditional enrollment and student services areas, including graduate admissions, graduate registrar, non-traditional enrollment services, APU’s regional centers, military and veterans outreach, and the Center for eLearning and Teaching. As a member of the Academic Cabinet and the President’s Council, Petridis will provide consultation to academic deans and university administrators regarding graduate and non-traditional program development and enrollment management at APU’s Azusa campus and regional centers.

Petridis’ 15 years of leadership experience in higher education spans private and for-profit education, career services, enrollment management, and regional center operations. During her 11-year tenure at APU, she has held several positions of increasing responsibility and has progressively increased from director of the Graduate Center, to executive director of graduate enrollment, to associate vice president of academic enrollment and student services.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 1995 and her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in 1999. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education.
