Azusa Pacific University presents the 21st annual William E. and Ernest L. Boyer Common Day of Learning (CDL) on Wed., March 6, 2013, on West Campus, located at 701 E. Foothill Blvd., in Azusa. This campuswide multidisciplinary conference dedicated to the commemoration and celebration of academic discovery features 111 scholarly seminars with 250 faculty, student, and guest presenters. Keynote speaker: Albert Wolters, Ph.D., delivers his address, “Where Can Wisdom be Found?” at 11 a.m. in the Felix Event Center. Wolters is professor emeritus at Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, and author of Creation Regained: Biblical Basics for a Reformational Worldview. He examines the book of Job through the lens of finding wisdom in the midst of suffering.

Afternoon speaker: Kimasi L. Browne, Ph.D., director of ethnomusicology and research in APU’s School of Music, delivers “Resiliency and Distinction: An Inspired Professor’s Yield¬—Students Who Think Deeply” at 1 p.m. in the Segerstrom Science Center, Room 120. Browne and his students introduce the new book Resiliency and Distinction honoring the life of Jacqueline Cogdell DjeDje, Ph.D., UCLA professor and international authority on gospel and African-American music who will be in attendance.
