Azusa Pacific University’s Department of School Counseling and Psychology welcomes renowned clinical psychologist Jerome Sattler, Ph.D., for a workshop based on his latest book, Foundations of Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Assessment of Children. The event geared toward educators, counselors, and psychologists, takes place on Fri., May 30, 2014, from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m., at the Segerstrom Science Center, located on APU’s West Campus, at 675 E. Foothill in Azusa.

Workshop topics include bullying and cyberbullying, sports-related concussions, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, other disabilities, and clinical assessment techniques and instruments.

Sattler is a diplomate in clinical psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Currently, he serves as professor emeritus and adjunct professor of psychology at San Diego State University. He is the author of five books and more than 100 articles on school and clinical psychology. Sattler is the recipient of numerous awards including the Senior Scientist Award from the Division of School Psychology of the American Psychological Association, the Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement in the Application of Psychology from the American Psychological Foundation, and the Distinguished Contribution to Psychology Award from the San Diego Psychological Association.
