Forbes ranks Azusa Pacific University among the best schools in the nation for 2017. The 650 colleges listed represent the top 20 percent of all undergraduate institutions. APU ranks 357, up from last year’s 391.
The Forbes Top Colleges ranking, currently in its 10th year, evaluates the direct benefits a college or university provides its students, avoiding metrics merely indicative of prestige such as acceptance rate, endowment, and freshmen SAT scores. Instead, the ranking favors variables including alumni salary and student satisfaction.
The calculation uses five metrics to determine the rankings: post-graduate success, debt, student experience, graduation rate, and academic success. Together, these metrics aim to reflect the entrepreneurship, success, and consumer experience of the best universities in the U.S.
APU also ranks among 300 other schools in the Forbes Best Value Colleges list.
