    On November 11, 2017, the Office of Military and Veteran Services hosted the 2nd Annual Heroes Football Game where the halftime show honored our veterans and future leaders of America with the local youth programs from Azusa, Glendora, and Covina.

    On November 11, 2017 from 12 pm to 2 pm the APU Veterans Club volunteered to help with the set up of the Veterans Day Dinner at the VFW Post 8070 in Azusa.

    On November 8, 2017 Citrus College hosted the 12th Annual Saluting our Veterans event where APU participated with a booth and having two APU and Citrus College student key note speakers Celia Alvarado and Martin Hernandez Barajas.

    On November 6th, 7th, and 10th the Office of Military and Veteran Services along with APU Veterans Club helped promote the office, the club, resources, and services available to military connected students and allies.

    On November 6, 2017 from 2:30 to 3-30 pm the Office of Military & Veterans Services had its Open House in Admin West Courtyard 568 East Foothill Blvd, Azusa CA 91702. There were refreshments and words of encouragement for the new office location.

    On November 9, 2017, the Office of Military and Veterans Services hosted the 17th Annual Veteran's Day Luncheon in UTCC on East Campus with keynote speakers Dr. Robert Welsh and student veteran Jonathan Anda.

    On November 6 the Office of Military and Veteran Services had an official open house. Refreshment were provided for those that stopped buy and a nice speech from Executive Director Everette Brooks was given.

    Azusa Pacific University’s Military and Veteran Services recognized 42 veterans, 7 cadet, and 5 Ahmanson scholars with a special ceremony in their honor.

    Citrus College had a Veterans BBQ on the 16th of March honoring local councilman and representatives of Azusa featuring Junior ROTC from Gladstone High School and Covina High School. Our Executive Director Everette Brooks provided support.

    APU would like to welcome Captain Joseph Guillet, who is now leading our ROTC program. CPT Guillet was a NCO in the Army for 13 years and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordinance Corps in May 2009 at Fort Benning, Ga.
