Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
Per the Clery Act, Azusa Pacific University is required to publish the number of alleged crimes reported to campus authorities during the past three years. These statistics include all reported activity as defined and required by 20 U.S.C. 1092(f), such as crimes that occurred on campus, in certain non-campus buildings or on property owned or controlled by APU, and on public property immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus.
The Annual Security Report also includes other information related to security, including an explanation of the Clery Act, a definition of the enforcement authority of security personnel, details about crime prevention on campus, and more.
University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center (UCC) offers counseling services administered by professionally trained Christian counselors committed to facilitating the emotional, psychological, social, academic, and spiritual wellness of the APU community. For more information, please visit apu.edu/counselingcenter/, or call (626) 815-2109.
Graduate Student Health Insurance
For non-international graduate students enrolled at an Azusa Pacific University regional center, student health insurance is an optional benefit. Insurance is purchased through the Graduate and Professional Center at the current health fee.
International Student Health Insurance
All full-time international students holding an immigration document from Azusa Pacific University (I-20 or DS 2019) are required to purchase the APU international health insurance.* The international health insurance meets the U.S. government requirement for health insurance for international students.
*This rule does not apply for those studying in a non-standard term graduate program (i.e., intensive graduate programs — D.Min., Ed.D., TESOL). These students are required to have health insurance to study in the U.S. and are responsible to purchase appropriate coverage prior to arrival in the U.S. If the individual wishes to purchase the APU international health insurance, it is only available in six-month minimum increments.
Emergency Preparedness and Response
In times of crisis, the university activates its Incident Command Team to ensure the physical well-being of the university during times of crisis. The community is invited to browse the Emergency Preparedness and Response site for details about APU’s emergency procedures and resources.
