Orel Ramirez, DNP, MSN-ED, RN, PHN, CCRN

Assistant Professor
Phone: Ext. 2278

He has been an active Registered Nurse for over a decade specializing in Critical Care and Rapid Response nursing, as well as the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Origins as a nurse began after completing an ADN nursing program. After working full time for a pair of years, he decided to complete a BSN and completed a Master’s in Science in Nursing, with emphasis on Nursing Education (MSN-Ed). He then taught didactic and clinical courses as an adjunct, both in the clinical and academic setting. Soon after, I completed my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in Healthcare Systems Leadership. Blending clinical and academic specialties has been a rewarding addition to my experiences and accomplishments. My advice to others is to take advantage of the opportunity to elevate their practice both personally and professionally, as anything is possible.
