What is FERPA?

How does my student get to/from the airport?
Although APU does not provide transportation to or from local airports, students are encouraged to network with other students to arrange rides. Many students are local and own cars. Learn more.

Can students stay in on-campus housing during breaks?
During Christmas vacation, the residence halls are closed and students are not permitted to stay in their rooms. Meals will not be served by dining services during this time. Other living areas will remain open. During Thanksgiving and Easter vacations, all living areas, including residence halls, remain open. Learn more, including about summer housing options.
What churches are local to the APU campus?
We highly encourage students to participate in a local church during their time here at APU. See a list of local churches.
Are there health services on campus?
Yes. The Student Health Center is located on East Campus. There are no fees for office visits and no copays. All undergraduate students and those graduate students who “opt in” may visit the Student Health Center, regardless of which health insurance policy they have.
When is Homecoming and Family Weekend?
Visit the Homecoming Weekend website for the latest information about APU’s largest event of the year. Homecoming and Family Weekend is typically held in October.
Does APU have hotel recommendations for visitors?

My student is having a crisis. Whom can I notify?

Have you moved or gotten a new email address? Let us know if your contact information has changed so you can stay informed. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your new contact information today.
How do I change my name with APU?
Fill out a name-change form and provide a copy of one of the following with your new name: a valid driver’s license, social security card, official court decree, passport, or an official amended birth certificate.
Can I still order a Legacy Brick for my student?
Legacy Bricks can be ordered from September to March each year. The deadline for ordering is April 1, and bricks are laid on campus at the end of April, just in time for spring commencement. Leave your student’s legacy! Learn more.
