Biography

I began my teaching career in 1974 and taught in Lebanon, in Boston (Curry College and University of Mass for 6 years) and in Los Angeles (at UCLA for 16 years as the director of the PNP program and as faculty for 14 years in the PhD program at Azusa Pacific University). I am an emerita professor at the University of California in Los Angeles. My expertise is in teaching Advanced Pediatric Nursing, and Research Methods and designs.
My program of research is related to high risk infants, chronic illnesses and neurodevelopment. Focus is on intervention and long term follow-up. I have received several NIH grants related to my area of research and have published over 65 articles in peer reviewed journals.
I have consulted in Several Middle- Eastern countries such as Kuwait Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain where new schools of nursing and programs were being established.
