Acting for the Stage and Screen Major (BFA)
This program prepares students for professional acting careers, as well as graduate studies in performance.
Animation and Visual Effects Major
The Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Visual Effects will prepare you to make a difference as a skilled animator and storyteller in an influential industry. Hone your artistic ability with courses covering animation’s many facets while making use of a state of the art animation lab, and cultivate your narrative techniques with a comprehensive cinematic arts curriculum.

Art Education, M.A. (online)
The Master of Arts in Art Education program is a 30-hour low-residency degree for artists who love to teach. Designed for working professionals and busy educators who enjoy making and teaching art, students benefit from the convenience of online courses and two one-week summer intensive practicums at APU’s main campus in Azusa.Low Residency and Online only
Students take courses that provide a broad groundwork in the arts and select an area of specialization, choosing from a variety of courses to streamline their skills.
Art Major (BFA)

Cinematic Arts Major
This comprehensive program helps students develop a spiritually aware, critical, and creative outlook as they are immersed in hands-on filmmaking with state-of-the-art equipment and expert instruction by faculty-mentors with professional experience.
This program offers the following areas of study: Entertainment Executive, Production and Post, and Screen Studies.
Cinematic Arts Production Major (BFA)
The Cinematic Arts Production major is a robust BFA degree program that equips students with a range of production skills spanning producing, directing, cinematography, and editing.
Design Studies Major
The design studies major prepares students to think creatively about visual communication challenges by gaining experience in print, digital, and UIUX design. Students study the design of communications, products, environments, systems, and services.
Games and Interactive Media Major
Games and Interactive Media students benefit from a well-rounded curriculum integrating storytelling, game mechanics, and technical art, preparing them for careers in the video game and interactive media industry.
MFA in Visual Art
APU’s 37-month, low-residency MFA program accommodates the working artist/educator and centers primarily on studio activity and the integration of faith and art. User Experience Design, M.A.
The Master of Arts in User Experience Design is a 30-unit low-residency and online degree that prepares graduates for the fast-growing field of interactive design. Azusa Pacific’s user experience design, or UXD, program integrates a signature approach to human-centered design from an artistic perspective.
