APU Lockdown Lifted, Classes Remain Cancelled for Azusa Campus

4:08 p.m. Update: 

Lockdown and shelter in place is lifted on ALL campuses. Police activity continues in the area of Citrus College but is no longer a a threat to the APU community.

3:30 p.m. Update:

Police activity at Citrus College is still in progress. At this time, East Campus must remain on lockdown. All those on West Campus or other campus properties are no longer on lockdown and do not need to shelter in place. Those returning to East Campus will be subject to the lockdown and shelter in place. Trolley service to East Campus has resumed.

3:20 p.m. Update:

Due to the ongoing investigation at Citrus College, APU remains on lockdown and all classes are cancelled for the remainder of the day on both East and West campuses. We will continue to post updates.

12:45 p.m. Update:

The Glendora Police Department is actively investigating a threat of a shooting directed towards Citrus Community College. As a result of the threat, the campus has been placed on lockdown. Due to the proximity of APU to Citrus College, this notification is to advise that our campus is now on lockdown and you are directed to shelter in place. Azusa Police resources are deployed on the APU Campus. Additional information will be sent as it is received.
