Scholarships

MATUL students are eligible to apply for program scholarships through the MATUL scholarship fund. Scholarship applications consider financial need, leadership ability, and academic strength. For the 2014-15 academic year, six scholarships were awarded ranging from $5,000 to full tuition.

In addition, MATUL students may apply for scholarships through Azusa Pacific Seminary. A complete list of scholarships is available on the Graduate and Professional Student Financial Services website.

Azusa Pacific Seminary Alumni Tuition Discounts

Azusa Pacific Seminary offers a 15 percent alumni tuition discount for APU alumni who will start in the following programs during the 2016-17 or 2017-18 academic year:

  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.)
  • Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
  • Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies (MAPS)
  • Master of Arts (Theological Studies)
  • Master of Arts in Transformational Urban Leadership

To qualify for this discount, students must begin their program during the 2016-17 or 2017-18 academic year and maintain continuous enrollment half time for fall and spring terms. Students must be in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (2.7 for the M.Div. and MAPS programs). If qualifications are met, the discount may be renewed each year until graduation. This discount cannot be combined with other institutional aid.
