B.A. in Religious Studies
APU’s Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies provides a strong, scholarly foundation and framework for Christian belief and practice by employing a dialogical perspective that invites conversation between Christians and people from non-Christian global religious traditions. Religion major coursework prepares undergraduate students for responsible understanding of, and engagement with, people of a variety of global religious traditions in order to be faithful, well informed, and culturally sensitive participants in intercultural and interreligious dialogue. We accomplish this by training our students in interreligious approaches and by focusing on praxis, religious experience, theology, and philosophy with respect to those traditions. Religious studies majors leave APU with a greater ability to engage the world respectfully from a place of sincere Christian faith, awareness, and praxis.
