University College has moved to an electronic process that will expedite the completion of verification for your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
If you are chosen for electronic verification, you will see an outstanding document on your Learner Portal called “Verification Required.” Please do not start the verification process until you are asked to do so. Watch for emails from firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, and respond as soon as possible. This email will go to the account listed on your FAFSA.
Once you have been notified by email, you will be able to track what items are required. Many students are able to complete the majority of the verification process through our verification website. Continue to keep an eye out for emails and check your account often until notification arrives that your verification is finalized. A prompt response to all notices accelerates the review of your financial aid request.

If you feel you have unusual circumstances that are not reflected on the FAFSA application, please complete the Professional Judgment Request form on the Learner Portal and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to explain your circumstances in detail and provide substantiating documentation.
