The Writing Center offers online consultations for graduate, online, regional campus, and commuter students. Using chat, video, and a shared paper, students meet with our experienced writing coaches and receive valuable feedback without the commute.

To make an appointment, visit our online schedule, register, log in, and select one of our Writing Center locations from the dropdown menu. All menus have online appointments available. Select the day, time, and writing coach that work best for you, then fill out the appointment form completely. You can upload the project you want to work on, if it is ready. White boxes on the schedule indicate open 15-minute segments; schedule 45-minute blocks (3 white boxes) for online sessions.

Learn how to schedule and participate in an online appointment using these files: Scheduling Online Appointments (PDF) and Participating in Online Appointments (PDF).

Due to high demand, students can make one appointment per day and two appointments per week. Students can cancel an appointment up until 4 hours before the scheduled start time ( If the appointment is not attended or if it is not canceled at least 4 hours before the start time, it will be marked as “missed.” Students with three missed appointments in one semester will lose the ability to schedule appointments in WC Online for the remainder of the semester. Walk-ins will still be permitted.
