James “Woody” Morwood

Woody Morwood has been involved in student ministries for the past 18 years, and previously served as the college and young adult pastor at Skyline Wesleyan Church in La Mesa, California. His primary role at APU is being involved in the lives of undergraduate students. Woody is all about relationships with God, His Word, and the people he finds himself in community with, and his passion is to encourage and challenge undergraduate students to grow deeply as disciples. He preaches periodically in morning chapel and regularly at Wednesday night Kaleo chapel, and leads a small group, a SALT team, and continually meets with students for pastoral counseling and support. Woody also has the amazing privilege of working with the great staff in the Offices of the Campus Pastors and Chapel Programs in order to foster an overall spiritual climate on campus.
His greatest joys in life are his family (wife Juli, children Kyla and Ryan, and two new Labrador puppies) as well as playing outside in God’s creation: surfing, snowboarding, rafting, and backpacking.
Jamie Noling

Jamie Noling has been APU’s associate campus pastor for four years. She has worked in campus ministry for the last six years, and has worked in Christian higher education for the last ten. The areas of study she enjoys the most are the Gospels, spiritual disciplines, and gender justice issues. When Jamie isn’t at APU, she can usually be found at the beach, reading in a coffee shop, or in the pool swimming laps.
Christopher Adams

Christopher Adams has been involved with APU since 2006 as a professor and guest lecturer in the Departments of Christian Ministry, Undergraduate Psychology, and Religion and Philosophy. He has been a part of college ministries since 1999 and is actively involved in missions and worship arts ministries. Chris is married to Lori, an alumna of APU’s School of Nursing.
Mark Sanford
Facilitator of D-Group Ministry and SALT
Mark Sanford has served as a pastor to youth, single adults, and adults ages 25 to
55, including overseeing small groups and assimilation during his twenty years in
pastoral ministry. For three years, he served as a chaplain at his alma mater,
Eastern Nazarene College. Currently, he teaches part-time in the Department of
Practical Theology in addition to his role with D-Groups and SALT.
Jeanine Smith
Spiritual Mentoring Coordinator
Jeanine Smith attended the University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University for
her B.A. in Educational Ministry and Communications and received her Master of
Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Before coming to APU, she worked in college
ministry at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Washington, and Trinity
Presbyterian Church in Tustin, California. During the 2009-10 school year, she will
celebrate six years of marriage with her husband, her daughter’s fourth birthday,
and her son’s first birthday.
Kim Cross
Administrative Assistant
Kim Cross is the administrative assistant to the associate campus pastors and student
care. Her role is to not only support the associate campus pastors but also to be the
first point of contact in the Office of the Campus Pastors. Kim attended California
Baptist University before meeting and marrying her husband, Terry. She is the mother
of two daughters and loves spending time with her family. She has actively been a part
of her husband’s youth ministry for more than twenty-five years, attending youth
conferences and training for both youth and youth workers. Kim has been a part of the
APU community for more than 10 years and loves the college setting.
Christina Miller
Assistant Campus Pastor Intern
Christina Miller, a current Master of Divinity student at Fuller Theological
Seminary, has served as the assistant campus pastor intern since 2008. She works
with students through pastoral counseling, SALT, mentoring, programming, and
speaking engagements. Christina is a San Diego native and earned her B.A. in English
Literature from Pepperdine University, where she first began doing ministry with
college students. She has a heart for global Christian ministry and the students at APU!
