Biography

Richard Bullock began his career with the Don Ellis Orchestra in 1975. Since the late 1970s, he has also performed and/or recorded with the big bands of Bill Watrous, Harry James, Al Hirt, Tom Kubis, Gordon Goodwin, Paul Cacia, Bill Perkins, Matt Catingub, Ladd McIntosh, the Woody Herman Orchestra, Bobby Caldwell, Jack Sheldon, George Graham, George Stone, Wayne Bergeron, Chris Walden, Dirk Fischer, Gary Urwin, Scott Whitfield, Ron Jones, Billy Vera, the Stan Kenton Alumni Orchestra, and the Billy Vaughn Orchestra. He also performed or recorded with popular artists such as Peaches and Herb, Toni Tennille, Chicago (with Bill Watrous), Natalie Cole, Steve Allen (with Tom Kubis), Johnny Mathis, Paul Anka, Bernadette Peters, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Robert Goulet, Lorna Luft, Michael Bolton, and many more. Since the late 1970s, Bullock has been involved with freelance motion picture and television recording. He was a frequent performer for the Long Beach Civic Light Opera from 1985-95 and has performed occasionally with the Long Beach Opera, Opera Pacific, Long Beach Symphony and Pacific Symphony since the late 1980s. He also performed with the Long Beach Municipal Band as a regular member and substitute from 1973 until 2007.
