Department of Organizational Leadership and Communication
Pursuing Excellence in Communication Studies
The Department of Organizational Leadership and Communication, housed in the School of the Arts, offers three distinct bachelor’s degrees in communication management, and public relations, and three minors, as well as a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication.
The department supports a converged student media experience, ZU Media: Student Voice of Azusa Pacific University, at ZUnews.com. The site offers students an opportunity to create journalistic content for the various media platforms of ZU News, ZU TV, ZU Radio and ZU Magazine, covering all campus news. The department also engages a nationally competitive forensics team and a national honors society (Lambda Pi Eta).
The department also hosts the annual IMPACT Conference each spring, which brings students, alumni, and faculty together to experience scholarship through reflective thinking and advancement in topics related to communication, and public relations. Learn more about the IMPACT Conference.
