Academic Advising
Academic advising is to be done with a professor from the department of the student's major. Students that have not yet declared a major should schedule an appointment with the Office of Academic Advising.
Online Preregistration
| Seniors (90 or more units): | March 25 |
| Juniors (60 or more units): | March 26-27 |
| Sophomores (28 or more units): | March 28, 31, April 1 |
| Freshmen (0-27 units): | April 2-4 |
Online Preregistration is accessed through a student’s individual home.apu.edu account. A PIN and an appointment time are required for Online Preregistration, which a student receives from his/her academic advisor. Academic advising is required before preregistering for classes.
The Online Preregistration system can be busy at times, especially first thing in the morning. Please be patient. Try to register later in the day if possible. Classes that require instructor permission, independent study, or a graduate class require the proper paperwork and must be registered for in the Office of the Registrar. Problems or questions regarding online registration should be sent to onlinereghelp@apu.edu.
Any students wishing to take MATH 090/091/095/096/ 110/115/120 must have a PIN supplied by the Department of Mathematics and Physics to register for these classes.
Walk-In Preregistration

Walk-In Preregistration is in the Office of the Registrar during normal office hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday. Students may only do Walk-In Preregistration during the dates listed for their class level. Students are also required to bring their student ID and advisor signed green registration form with them to preregister for classes.
